NaNo You know?

It's that time of year again.

The time when I try to use my height to my advantage, disguise myself, and harass all my neighbors for chocolate (aka Trick or Treating).

Yes, it's Halloween!

I hear you saying, "Aren't you too old for that sort of thing?
Short answer,"No."

Besides, if I don't trick or treat how will I be able to afford all the chocolate I will be consuming during NaNo?





That's right it's NaNo time again, and this year I have a great idea for a Contemporary YA that's been eating my brain.

(shh... it's a secret)

Just kidding... It's about a boy who meets a girl who meets another boy, than another one, than another one and so on.

Awesome incarnate right? Well in 50,000 words it will be.


Now some of you are asking how will you write 50,000 words in 30 days?

(okay that wasn't you that was one of the voices in my head, but I'm still going to answer)

I have a (top secret) plan: I'm not going to sleep.

That's write, I mean right, I'm not going to sleep. Ever again. EVER.
I figure lack of sleep should stir the creative juices in my brain. This is going to be great!


I'm excited about NaNo and thus far have not written one word of my story (and it's killing me), so to distract myself I am entering query season. What am I querying? Here goes:

Joey is the best sixteen-year-old demon hunter there is, too bad she doesn't know she's also a demon and Daddy Dearest aka the Devil wants to meet her even if he has to drag her kicking and screaming to hell.

I HEART MOON LAKE is done, and polished, and shiny (we all know I like shiny things) and as such it is ready to go out into the world, but since it is my baby I've taken the following precautionary measures:

• I've already started twitter stalking the agents I have in my sights.


• I 've replaced the batteries in my mouse for uninteruppted inbox refreshing.


• and I've sent the preliminary does my I love Brandy's writing email address even work? oh? it does? oh.


• I've adopted a positive attitude- this is going to be great!

So..........

What season is it: Halloween, NaNo, and Query season!

What are we going to do about it: Eat chocolate and neglect sleep!

Outlook: This is going to be great!
