Shiny new ideas

I hear voices in my head. All the time. Does this mean that I'm unstable? Probably, but it also means that I've had an idea. Everybody has different venues for inspiration, but my best ideas come to me while I'm driving. This is sort of problematic as I can't just pull over and start scribbling down everything I'm hearing in my head, but I've found a solution. Voice recorder on iphone. I take my phone with me all the time anyway so I've always got it handy, and I can't just press record and start dictating- usually both sides of a conversation, the scene, action what ever comes to me.













Music is also a huge inspiration for me. I've gone through old novels that I've written and been able to remember the exact song that was playing as I typed out a scene. Almost everything I write has a playlist on my ipod which really helps when I go back and edit. I can make the necesssary changes and still remember what the scene was supposed to feel like.
